Extension of CareShield Life Participation Incentives at up to $3,000 for one more year (until 31 Dec 2024).
MOH will extend the participation incentives for another year, for those who sign up for CareShield Life between 1 Jan 2024 to 31 Dec 2024. Eligible individuals are encouraged to join the scheme for lifelong protection for their long-term care needs.

What do you need to know about CareShield Life
Born in 1980 or later
You will automatically be covered by CareShield Life on 1st Oct 2020 or when you turn 30, whichever is later, regardless of pre-existing medical conditions and disability.

Born in 1979 or earlier
Your participation in CareShield Life is optional, and you can choose to join CareShield Life, regardless of your age, as long as you have not developed severe disability. If you are born in 1970 to 1979, insured under ElderShield 400, and have not developed severe disability, you have been automatically enrolled onto CareShield Life from 1 December 2021.
